What happened?

On or about February 23, 2024, NorthBay Health discovered suspicious activity on its computer network and initiated an investigation. They coordinated with law enforcement and hired a forensic security firm for assistance. The investigation revealed that an unauthorized third party gained access to files on NorthBay Health’s computer system between January 11, 2024, and April 1, 2024. The accessed files may have contained personal information, including names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, financial account numbers, medical information, biometric data, health insurance information, driver’s license numbers, and other personally identifying information. Up to 569,012 individuals have been affected by this data breach.
